I totally agree that the personalization would be MUCH cooler if liking images in the feed affected it instead of the strange ranking system. I rarely truly like any of the photos in the ranking system.

Thank you for this series Thaeyne, the videos have been very useful. The new ability to blend multiple codes with sref is really interesting. It's hard to predict the results and it depends on the subject matter, but I've stumbled on some cool combinations so far using 2, 3 or 4 codes blended and also combining multiple codes with a reference image.

Greatly appreciate the work you do in creating these videos for us.

How are you creating these codes

I love these series. I know this is for Midjourney, but some of the style phrases also work (albeit differently) in ChatGPT/Copilot Designer, as well. I don't use MJ, but these are just as helpful.

You are not forced to choose a picture in the pair rankings. You can just simply skip by selecting 3 instead of 1 or 2. Therefore you can still control your style pretty well.

I'd like to have the ranking on my own images too. You can skip the ranking with 3 or click on skip if none of the two images suits you.

I'm pretty sure there has been a quiet upgrade to personalization since it was released. I think it is now considering our rendered images and maybe our upscaled images in its development of our style. I do a lot of project work where I will work on a specific goal for hundreds of images. A month ago, I created a lot of flooded apocalyptic cityscapes at sunset. My current results for "city street --p 8ly21t6 --seed 777 --s 1000" produces mostly flooded urban streets against brilliant sunsets and colorful atmospherics. Apparently my idea of "fashionable" is leather jackets (which also links back to a recent project). Ramping up the --s to 1000 really helps. Thanks!

THIS IS NEXT LEVEL. Blows the doors off anything I have done before, Thanks. I would recommend go through the ''rating'' pairs very quickly, sit back and squint your eye a bit and just rate everything you find appealing. Don't overthink it. That way it gives you what you ''unconsciously '' want.

I actually use these style words in BING/Chat GPT. I know they don't produce the same styles as in MJ, but they do have an affect on the outcome of my prompts.

Holy sh.....t this works extremely well. Going back through old prompts and adding "p" and it's getting far closer to my preference.

My suggested idea for controlling the style would be ... a special "style" option that you can set for your own images to designate them as part of your own style.

I actually like that Midjourney handles all the details. They provide other ways to influence style consciously. This seems to work really well for me. I heard it was deployed on another video and my first try made me gasp. Midjourney knows my style better than I do 😀 Over the past year I’ve rated over 8k images. I don’t know how many they take into consideration for this feature but it’s enough. By the way, you aren’t forced into rating specific images. You can skip. I do so if I can’t decide which of the two I prefer. I also skip if I have an ethical objection to both images, such as when both include guns or meat. When I heard this was coming a few weeks ago I thought it was dumb and something I wouldn’t use. I was wrong.

Wheres are the PROMPTS?

I appreciate the time and effort you put into this but I wish MJ would organized the 4 billion + style references they apparently have and provide some sort of catalog. Basic grouping for painterly, photographic, anime etc. It is so random as is.

I've been making my own PDF of the styles, prompts, effects and artists I like. Time consuming but not difficult.
